Who am I?

My name is Marla Johnson. I'm an artist, specifically a visual artist. I love illustration, comics, movies,
music, laughing, video games, talking about fantasy and a trekkie/jedi freak. I also love holidays.



What medium do you work in?

Mostly, I start with the basics--pencil and paper. I then use Photoshop or Painter 9. I would rather sit and just draw and paint, but paint and canvas costs A LOT. I can use 3D tools like Maya and a little of Crazybump, 3DS max and others.



How did you get started?

When I small I was like, "HmMm draw draw...[insert adreneline rush]". Practice, perseverence from inside,
inspiration and slight hatred/jealously towards other artists. I have studied and am still studing VARIOUS traditional
artists like Titan, Parmigianino, Waterhouse and more modern artists like, McCaig, Zhu, as well as countless others.



Are you available for Commissions and/or Freelance Artwork?

YES! Absolutely. Please email me for info.



Do you draw...[insert style]?

I am flexible and willing to learn new styles but I also can do fab things on my own! I'd love to hear about a project if you think I can help or contribute!



Can I use [insert art piece here] for my [insert whatever project]?

NO. NO. Not unless with my extensive written permission. I believe in studying other artists, but I do not promote
stealing art for sub-creation or third party tampering. Please, ASK me first.




Can you do me a favor?

I know, everyone just wants a piece of art for something--a benefit,
a free show, a small get together, but I also want to make something come out of my work. I do have "free" offers posted on my facebook page, my twitter, or even my blog. Please stayed tuned and you can possibly get something for free!
